I hear that this program isn't very good for converting files and burning them onto cds and dvd-r. My question is are there any programs like this that does it all that is worth while?

converting files

What kind of file conversion are we talking here? Odds are VirtualDub or TMPGEnc will do the trick for ya.

i mean nerovision express takes the video file that you want to put on a dvd-r and encodes it to mpeg-2 and then burns it when that is done.

I was just wondering if there was any other software that does all of that too that is better than nerovision express. It just makes things a lot simpler.

ANYTHING is better than NeroVision Express.... i was writing up a guide on how to use NeroVision Express and the damn thing kept crashing and giving some seriously unreliable results.

TMPEGDvD Editor should do the trick for ya.

But I must say however, in all fairnesss, NVE is a really good attempt by Ahead to give some power/functionality of something much more heavy-duty like Premier but still a cute and easy to use interface. (I still wouldnt wholeheartedly reccommend it though)
