unable to boot in to game os stuck at kboot plz help

i installed yellow dog 5.0 and then the update for the wireless for my ps3 i Believe it was a new kernal after the update nighter the ps3 xmb or linux will boot and the boot-game-os will not work i can only get to a kboot prompt thing.

when i try and do boor-game-os and other commands i get errors like "/sbin/other-os-flash-util: No such file or directory" i dont this i have set the kernal up right and the boot-game-os command is not right in some way.

the kernal i installed was from a usb stick and it was an .exe so it did it its self hope u can help .

Hold the power button down during power up until it beeps and the PS3 should boot as normal. It will ask you about your video settings if you are using HDMI.

so its a kinda reset ill give it a go when i get home at work at the mo. was going to format the hard drive as i couldent be arsed to play around with a load of commands but i wasent sure if it was even loading to the hdd i was thinking it couldent find the new kernal becouse i dident point it to the new one been a few years since i used linux lol
