i just now flashed my 360 with maximasOPA 2.3 firmware on a hitachi and now its not reading anything at all no DVDs, Cds or backups

The firmware is probably slightly corrupt, I would assume the drive is still ejecting fine since you were able to confirm that its not playing anything, what you should do is flash it back to the original.bin, then flash it again. Does is come up with an error msg when you insert a game?

i reflashed it like you said but it doesnt work and i tried playing everything and it just says insert DVD,Game, or CD

That normally happens when the key was not injected properly or something, how many times did you backup the original fw, check the fw to see if the key actually comes up.

i used firmware toolbox but never backed up the original but after i flashed with hitachi using garyopa then i ussed firm. toolbox to read the drive and key came up and i used that key to restore from the fwpack that comes with iextreme firm pack 1.4

When you view the key, does it contain any FF's?
