My half year old Wii stopped reading any discs(Wii or Gamecube)!
I just bought a new game, came home to play it, and my Wii wouldn't read it...
I'm waiting for Best Buy to get another in stock so they can replace it, but if I can fix it myself with out voiding the warrenty, keeping my Miis and uncopyable files it would help... Thanks.

I think it may be from my trip to Idaho(Udaho for you imature geeks), as I live in southern California. I brought it with and travelled between two houses the whole time, taking it where-ever I went.
Some music CD's I brought were shrunk by freezing and melting by the end of my trip and I fear that that's the problem with my Wii.
Is it really worth it to buy a disc drive cleaner I'll hardly ever use?

i agree with yimmmy, just contact nintendo or wait for the new wii's to come in. its not worth voiding the warranty to try and fix especially when they are so hard to find.
yes . if you do want to void the warintee just mod it.
maby putting a new lens in it will help http://www.consoleshop.com/product.php?p...&cat=315&page=1 you can get alot of cool stuff from the console shop its a very relible site.
im not suggesting you do this tho its better that you just get a hold of nintendo..
