Ok, I've just about killed myself looking for an answer to this problem of mines involving my psp. I need help bad and I won't to leave this alone(it's driving me crazy), so I'm goind to be very indept about what I need, and what I've been through to advoid constant replies. First, it started one day when my PSP could no longer recognize UMD. I mean I would go to the game section and nothing, and I mean nothing. So I changed to a different UMD and the same thing happen. So I started to wonder if the lens was broke, but then again, I had downloaded a game(my first) and it didn't work. So I start researching about similar problems. It seemed that alot of people where having similar problems when the upgraded to Firmware 3.80. So I figured that maybe I could elimate the problem by downgrading. Well it hasn't been an easy search. Everybody keeps saying that you need a "Pandora battery" to downgrade from v3.80(that sucks). So I figured I'd try to make one for myself, but then I run into another problem, everytime I save a file to the PSP Game folder, it keeps telling me that the data is corupted. So after reading a bit more, I find out that you need custom firmware to read these files, so now I have to find out how to put custom firmware on a PSP 3.80. The closet I've gotten is to the new firmware v3.80m33(I think that's what it is). But for some reason I don't think that this is what I need(I'm not really sure of anything right now). Having said that, I only have to questions:
1: Is there any way that I can downgrade from 3.80 to whatever(I really don't care at this point I just want to get rid of 3.80), without using the methods of the "Pandora Battery".
2: Did I really need custom firmware to recognize the files I'm saving in the games folder(if so, then can I still set up custom firmware while having v3.80).
I must say that I really appreiate anyone who can help. Thanks guys
P.S. please don't recommend any youtube video's, I've been all through there. LOL
