Hey guys, I've been reading through the forums for a while, but it's been making my head spin! Basically all I want to do is use a Final Fantasy 7 or 8 iso image and play it on the psp. I'm not sure what hardware my psp has in it, but if it makes a difference it was bought within a year or the systems release. It's running version 2.50 right now and I have own a copy of GTA:LCS because apparently that can have something to do with it. Any help for a complete newbie would help, reading the guides seems to just confuse me more.

after you downgrade to 1.5 you upgrade to 3.80M33-4. once there format your memory stick and the folders you need will be created. put the iso in the iso folder, goto game and play.

after you downgrade to 1.50 using the downgrades suggested above, you install what is called a CFW or "Custom Firmware," with the custom firmware, you are able to play the latest games or uses the lastest software that sony has reseased during they're updates, but still be able to have the benefits of using Homebrews, play psp ISO's, and psx eboots.
I'm afraid i can't tell you WHERE you can find psp ISO's over this forum, because I would most likely be braking forum rules about they're piracy policy. but if you need my help contact me on AIM: Teddy89146, or on MSN: email removed by binkie7
