Hi, I read this on a website and was wondering if it's true.

A PSP will read Memory Sticks in FAT format faster than FAT32. For 2gb and below, the memory stick is always formatted to FAT. However, for 4gb and above, due to limitations of the FAT file system, the default formatted file system is FAT32. This will cause your game to lag.

Anyone knows about this? I have a 4gig Memory card in FAT32 and is considering to reformat it.

I have done it to some fake cards and it's true it does seem to work, once done though you cannot re-format thru the psp as it reverts back to FAT32

If the card is fake & is suffering from lag - may well be a good choice - only took me about 15 mins.

If it is a genuine card (magicgate support) i would probaly leave and replace under warranty(if Valid)

PsP#1 : 2.01>3.71M33-4>3.80 M33-5
PsP#2 (Slim) : 3.80>3.90M33-2 All hail the UPMS Stck
If you need a UPMS Stick go here and then go here :-) *As recommended by January39
