Has anyone managed to get a successful burn from an original xbox 360 game (not a download as that is illegal) but a backup? I have made a copy and it plays, but then i load my save and when it gets to the blue loading screen where you can run around and a womans voice gives you a tip it freezes.
If you use the flashed Samsung drive and Verbatim discs you should have no problems backing up any game with the newest version of Xbox Backup Creator or Schtrom. Which program you use is really up to your personal preference.
Also make sure that you are burning them correctly. If i had to take a wild guess i would say your problem sounds like either a bid rip or that your using low quality media.
I'm very sure its not the media i am using as i have used very cheap poor media and also a Verbatim to the same effect, both having the same error.
I'm using the WXripper method and downloaded the ss,pfi and dmi files, so it could be that, i suppose i will just have to wait til the end of the month and buy a samsung drive.
Wouldn't be a problem with the firmware on my xbox hitachi drive would it?
Firware is a possibility, but i would say to go with your first choice. wait to buy the Samsung drive for the PC. It is worth every penny when you see how easy it will be making back ups. No more downloading, patching or any of that junk.
Okay bit of an update for you, now even more confused!
Played my original disc til Memory Block 3 (got to Acre if anyone knows about the game) and then backed it up and tried to load from my save point, but it would freeze on the loading screen, so i started a new game on it Memory Block 3 and Acre again and it froze on the loading screen exactly where it did before!
Do you have a hard drive that you could try saving to? Or even try saving it to a different slot on the memory card. Maybe you have a corrupt slot on that card or something. If the game plays fine and only freezes when you try and load that one file it is worth a shot.
No its not a memory card its a hard drive mate, and like i said at the bottom, i started a whole new game but as soon as i get to that certain part of the game (Mem Block 3) it freezes on me!! I've still had no luck, and found no one with the same problem :(
