When i look on some people profiles on my friends list, they have to names: An Online ID and an Online Name, which have completly different names. For example, when we play CoD4, he uses the name diesel but on the XMB his name is goldenshot. what going on? and how do i do this?

u can use different username in games other than ur ps3 system name, when u go online in a game it gives u the option of creating a different username to ur ps3 or u can just keep the same 1 as ur ps3

no on COD4 it uses ur PSN name so i dont know why that happens...
On some games like pes2008 you have to create a new account specific for that game...

I know why now. If you have a japanese account, you have to option to change the your name on the XMB. But your original name will always stay the same in a game.
