okay having problem with putting 3.80 m33 on psp

okay right now i have firmware 3.71 m33-4. Do i need to have 3.52 m33?
I got the official 3.80 firmware, then named it 380.PBP then put it in my game folder with the 3.80 m33 files. Then when i start it on my psp it says verifying 380.PBP.....Cannot open file (then some numbers). So these are the files in my psp: PSP/GAME/UPDATE- Eboot, u235, 380.PBP (<- thats the one i renamed). Are these the files that i need for the 3.80 m33 update? Thanks

Rename the 380.PBP to just 380 drop the .PBP

Sometimes PC have extensions hidden. if this is the case and you name it 380.PBP it is actually renaming it to 380.PBP.PBP since the extension is hidden.

verifyng 380.PBP... incorrect file.

wat shoul i do?
