Unable to read disc error message

While trying to play back-up games, from time to time I'm getting unable to read disc message during game or sometimes at the very beginning when it's loading.
I've tried to make another back-up copy but still same result.
I can undersdtand that perhaps disc is scratched but why on another new back-up. Thanks for your input/comments.

all of my errors have been bc of scratched disks so I think it is this.
