I have a d2c key and it works great and was done by a professional. He also gave me 5 games all of em work except for metroid prime corruption.It makes continuous beeping sounds that are not herd when playing other games and the error message pops up randomly. Could this just be a bad back up or is it my chip.
One more question is to safe to leave me wii on standby mode or will it over heat?

Probably a bad backup or maybe the "professional" used poor media.

As long as you leave it in an open space then the Wii should not overheat.
