ok i have cod4, warhawk, assassins creed, resistance and ut3 all running in stunning hd. either 480p 1080i.. or upscaled to 1080i.

but for some reason when i play oblivion in hd it stutters bad.. when theres no one around you can still see some big frame rate dips and when thiers alot of action it can almost become a slideshow!!

so i played in on my hd tv in standard def, and there was no stuttering at all, but the graphics were beyond unplayable, everythign was so grainy because it was standard def on an hd tv.

anyone know why it stutters?

Try deleting the oblivion cache file which is located under game data utility. When you load the game the next time it will be a bit longer than usual, but you won't loose your save files or anything like that.

Don't worry too much however, a few fps drops in oblivion is actually a common thing.

I have oblivion for PS3 and I can't report for 360 or PC, but I've heard the same reports, that it can lag pretty badly at some parts. It normally lasts a few seconds and then corrects itself though, so it's not much of a problem for me, it's just annoying.
