i want to know if i can use my xbox 360 guitar hero 2 x-plorer controller to play guitar hero 2 or 3 in my PS2. the ps2 have usb ports so i'm guessing i could use the guitar on my p2. i don't know, can u tell me?
you actually can..... you need to convert the usb to a front ps2 port (you know the 1's the ps2 controllers use). The ps2 doesn't need preinstalled drivers so it can work. The xbox 360 does but the ps2 won't use them. I figured this out by going from ps2 to 360 then i just liked the new guitars so I went 360 to ps2.
I bought my 360 after my ps2 was destroyed. I have GHII and GHIII for the 360, but I wanted to play GHI and 80's. The thing is that I bought the bundles for both, so I have 200 bucks invested into GH on 360.
I read that there is a way to play the ps2 versions with the 360 controller (I have the explorer and the les paul.) I just need to know how to do this? Is there some sort of adapter or, as I am fearing, does it involve re-wiring and splicing and the like?
Basically, How do you convert the usb to the ps2 port?
I apologize for seeming stupid, but I looked on the website for ebgames and could not find it. I have located the playstation 2 to usb adapter http://cgi.ebay.com/1-RSE-Wireless-10-BU...QQcmdZViewItem, but i need a usb to playstation 2, which i seemingly the opposite of what this does. I appreciate any help and again, i'm sorry for seeming impertinent on this...
