so i will ask this one more time. anyone out there with an oringal copy of smash brother brawl and wiikey. have you tried the backup version of brawl, and if so after updating your where you able to play the orginal instead of backup

No. The only reason the D5 doesn't work is because it's dual layered. Just wait for a Wiikey update.

im downloading ssbb azumi and hopefull will be done by tomorrow....so
is i burn it and then play it on the wii it will ask for an update,,,if i go throught the update thre game will work but i will get double channel(correct me if im wrong not sure)i probably will do the 15% swap trick beacuse many ppl posted that it worked....so if im wrong correct me plz...good luck with the brawls...good night...nitez :):)

Thanks keep me posted. i just wondered because the update would give you dual layer reading on your wee and may be a quick fix for the wiikey

i dont have an orignal but i plan on buying the us copy when it is released. enfact i have it payed of all ready. i am just hoping that wiikey team has every thing all set when the us copy comes out.

I can assure you guys this game is worth all the hassle your going through, now having played it, I wonder if there are any JAP savefiles lurking around the internet already? I would venture to guess there are, I just dont want to go through the hassle of unlocking all these guys on the jap version since ill take my sweet time when its the US version.
Anyhelp to find JAP gamesaves of smash would be great! Good luck to all with the game this thread helped me immensely.

Quick question for those who got it working WITHOUT using the 10-15% method.
Other than getting the duplicated channels, did it have any other negative side-effects? (such as not being able to go into Wii Settings, etc...)

Thats the problem, You can't. The Single Layer doesn't have access to the single player mode. Which is what you need to unlock the characters. If you had the save file you could play the multi all you wanted. Thats why I'm asking for it hahaha.

Are the contents of Dairantou_Smash_Brothers_X_INTERNAL_JAP_WII-TMD and the Azumi Super Smash Bros. Brawl X JAP.iso? If not, is there any discernable difference? Has anyone had problems with the "15 percent" method, and does 1 player entirely not work? Or does classic mode still function, or can you just skip past the SSE cut scenes?

For people who (probably) have not seen it. There are links to 2 dump programs out on WiiNewz on PSX-Scene. I don't know if direct links to programs also result in a ban, so I won't risk it since the links should be easy enough to find on the site.
But anyways, the one by TehSkeen seems to be successful, and I hope that somebody here with and LG drive and the original copy can successfully copy the game & burn the complete game. I'd do it myself but I have to wait until Monday to try to buy it from the closest place to me. However there is a guy selling one on Craiglist... Hm...
