Hi Guys,

I've been using Ultra Iso to make ISOs of my software in case anything ever happened to the media. The problem is, after I make the ISO, I mount the image and try to install, and I always get errors. Even if I burn the image to a disc and try to install the software I still get errors. Any ideas?

Thanks

The problem is games have more encryption's and protections on them than commercial DVD movies and the like.
Since they don't have to operated on stand alone machines,
They can use better encryption methods, to deter people
from trying to copy/pirate there software,

Most likely why its coming up that way is whoever made the
original image did not emulate the protections
properly and the game knows its not the original disk.

Normally one of the disks has uber encryption on it, and had to be inserted for the game to play, Just to verify that you own the original.

Just like I said there are protections on the disc,
That you did not emulate properly.
A run of a r'ay -scanner' on the original can and will determine
the protections on the disc.

You can then re-rip and re-burn using the protection settings detected,
Under Alcohol 120% to burn selecing the noted protections.).

This will copy the protections also, and make a exact 1:1 backup.
That will work just as your original.

The only other alternitive to making a exact 1:1 backup
There is a program called 'Game Jackal' that can eliminate the
need for disc's for almost any game.
That was and is what I use on a regular basis.

Good luck and happy burning.
