I wanted to ask in some other wiikey website topic I found, but some genius rule made it impossible for me to post in there. So now I will bless yall with a whole new topic instead...

So, is the site down or what? The last post in the other topic said that the site was back up, but its like a whole other site when I go to wiikey.cn.. So whats up, is it down? Or did they quit the game or what?

it's been down awhile. there are rumors flying around, but it doesn't seem like anyone is sure why it's down.

Wikipedia says
In early January 2008, the official Wiikey website was taken offline, and has remained offline since then. This has led many to believe that the modchip was abandoned by the development team. It has been reported that the team stated they were forced to take the site offline as a result of multiple hackers targeting the site, and it became unmaintainable. Development on the WiiKey would supposedly continue, however.

So I guess they are still in the game.. wonder if they get a new site up then, since they'll need a place to post the future updates..?

The real BS is that the only one in the world who would ever target them are other Wii mod chip designers or jealous anti-tendo fan wussies.

I guess that they did not renew their domain. If you go to their website it says that the domain has expired. I hope they did not skip town, because where else are we going to get any new updates for the Wiikey?
