So I get that if you install another region's firmware on your Wii, it "bricks" it until you can install the next update from your region, right?
Now, if you use wiibrickblocker on an ISO, does it prevent that from happening?


...basically if I wanted to play the Japanese SSBB, if I used wiibrickblocker, would it screw my system?

I dont think it would screw your system , but

I also dont think the game would run as most nintendo games now need to run the update from the disk in order to work.

But as you are considering brick blocking it it wouldnt update , and without that update , would render the game unplayabe (AFAIK).

If im wrong anyone feel free to help paint a clearer picture for Tfunk241
