both changed alot. its like with most console accessories/ even game, the date keeps getting put back. and the price has all ways been unknown, it depends on other competitors coming out with the same product.

well thats usefull lol

can you give us any insites at all anything really that aint already known if any.

like can you watch pre-recorded movies on the psp off the ps3 like you can now with normal films but do it with tv etc. what kinda space does stuff use, for example does a normal 1.5hr film use like 4gb in which case it would seen fill a drive etc

I think the files will be no bigger than 1gb,i dont think they are recorded in HD so the file size should be small.

yeah you can get a half decent divx for about 800mb and it will only have 2.0 sound at the most with it being tv so that will save some bandwidth, just wondering like as ok i got the 60gb model but i'm tempted to get rid of the current pvr and just replace it with the playtv and maybe a bigger hard drive like, one less box taking up space under the tv etc

Id advise keeping your PVR dude, plus the PS3s harddrive wont hold that much.

the pvr aint all that special really thou only a cheap thing from asda.

with the ps3 one thou i can record stuff on that, ok would mean buying a bigger drive and that but for a decent large drive pvr ya lookin 150+ play tv at say 90 quid plus 60 odd for a 250gb drive. got a good pvr that i can stream etc for about the same price as a normal one. plus it means i can have one less thing cluttering up under the tv.. wel thats my thinking behind it anyway lol

another thing thou that aint been said, how good is the unit when your actually playing on the ps3!!!

Insaneuk, you do make a very valid point dude.
The only problem i can think of at the moment for a lot of people is the mess it will make hanging out the front of the PS3.

What i do know is.

You can record one chanel while watching another one.

Set a timed recording.

It will bring up a totaly new menu, but people who have been creating themes will have already noticed this.

Programs will be recorded in mpeg2 format.

There is no copy protection on the programs.

thought you would be able to time it etc, as pretty stupid if you cant.

all depends on that big question.. can you still play games and record at the same time.. sure the missis be pee'd if she missed holly oaks as i was a few mins late on call of duty or sumin lol

either way think i'll be lookin into getting one if there as good as they look :D
