Whats the quickest programme that will convert .AVI to Mpeg so i can then convert to .VOB and write to dvd-
TMPGEnc takes 12hrs - isnt there a programme that is quicker - + dvd shrink wont

TMPGEnc produces the best quality, but the MainConcept Mpeg Encoder is by far the quickest.
It can convert a full movie in just over 2Hrs.
This will only produce DVD compliant mpegs. You need TMPGEnc DVD Author to make the DVD mpeg into VOB files etc.
