Okay, this is killing me!
I want to play Guitar Hero II on my PS3 with the Guitar Hero 3 Les Paul controller...
but it's not letting me. Also, I just got this game from my friend because my old GHII game broke and he says the game doesn't work on his PS2 because it's got a couple of deep scratches, but it seems to work on mine.
I was just wondering what's wrong? Is the controller not compatible?? If it isn't is there anywhere I can download some kind of software that'll make it read the controller or something along those lines to help me?? I really want to play this game!! Thanks in advance.
Actually not true, I've never really messed with the controller configuration with gh2, but if you use the controller on gh2 the buttons you have to hit are much different than the buttons that match up with the colored pads on the Les Paul controller.
If one were to change the controller settings to match up with the buttons used by the Les Paul, it should be possible. But, the pick would not work. So it would be like endless hammer-ons; not necessarily a bad thing.
ya i had the same question because i wanted to buy guitar hero 1 and 2, but i didnt want to buy the guitar for the playstation 2, cuz i already had the les paul guitar.

try that out
With all due respect Edgewise, you misunderstood him. He's trying to play GH2 with his PS3 Les Paul which connects through USB. Not using a GH2 controller on PS3.
