I was using 3.40 OE before and I ran my PSP ISO's perfectly, now this morning I upgraded to 3.80 M33-5 and when I try to run my PSP ISO's I just get an error msg.
I've reformated my mem stick and all that but I cant think of anything else.

Can someone help?

You should explain what the fix was. That way others can benifit from your (as you said) "DUMB" question.

Ok np the solution to my troubles:

Go into recovery mode (hold down the R trigger while you power up)

go into CPU speed and make sure everything is DEFAULT
then
go into Config and under: UMD MODE set the configuration to M33 driver -NO UMD-

that will let you play your PSP ISO's ^_^

Set the cpu and xmb to 333 and you'll run much faster on loads and in games. fyi.
