Hi, I got a PSP Slim running 3.80 OFW. I want to install custom firmwire and I have made the magic memory stick via easyinstaller & I am currently awaiting for a Datel Tool slim battery to be delievered. I noticed that on the easyinstaller, it lists various updates to install, such as 3.71 m33 or 3.80 m33. I was wondering, to start off with, which update should I go to first? Thanks for replies

i would go straight to 3.80 M33-5, If you are using a pandora set up you can move back down to 3.71 M33 quite easily.

3.80 M33-5 is the newest FW out at the moment

PsP#1 : 2.01>3.71M33-4>3.80 M33-5
PsP#2 (Slim) : 3.80>3.90M33-2 All hail the UPMS Stck
If you need a UPMS Stick go here and then go here :-) *As recommended by January39

Cool thanks. What is the firmwire like for running different emulators, such as psx and snes, as they are the main 2 I want to be able to use?

Only used PSX games and they are run through the popsloader which has to be set up with the correct firmware pops. If you intend to use emulators i would probably go to 3.71M33 although it is perfectly possible to go to 3.80M33 and use that popsloader.

But for me, at least the popsloader for 3.71 is a little more stable than the 3.80 one. Try em both and see what you think.

Do not do alot of emulator stuff so cannot tell you about SNEs, GBA etc

All you need can be found hereDark Alex Site

i had a quick question regarding this, does the slim require the 1.50 kernel add on to play emulators like the fat does?

unfortunately the slim cant run the 1.5 addon (yet... but it will soon) but most of the new emulators are compatible with the slim

my (+[__]%) life

2.81 -> 3.71-> 3.71 m33-2 -> 3.71 m33-3 -> 3.71 m33-4 -> 3.80 m33 -> 3.80 m33-2 -> 3.80 m33-4

saddest (+[__]%) moment

i upgraded to 3.71
