Anyone else get this error when trying to connect to COD4 online?

When trying to connect to COD4 online i've been getting the following message every now and again:
ERROR
Unable to connect to Activision Matchmaking (Error 33)
It only happens every once in a while, and if i keep trying it lets me connect after a few tries. I suspect its because the network is busy or something.
Just wondered if anyone else ever got this message?

yes. unfortunately the only solution is to just deal with it. demonware has proven to lack the networking skills necessary for a game as popular as COD4. i will say they are getting better though.

Yeah right. I'll take the occasional outages before I pay to play online. BTW before you brag about Live, didn't they just have an issue with the Live services over the holiday season?!? A prolonged one at that? How did you make out getting compensation? I read MS was not giving out any :/ Also just because you can't get on COD4 server's does not mean its a PSN issue. In fact Activision over the holiday said that at one point their server could not handle the amount of traffic going through it.

I have cod4 for ps3 and my next door neighbor has it for 360 and I experience more lag and connection issues there then I do on the ps3 here. So it either has to do with your individual connection(most likely), or you DONT get what you pay for with LIVE. lol
I havnt been experiencing that though.

I never had a internet problems on my elite . Those who own an xbox and ps3 knows that xbox is better for gaming , Now i also have a ps3 but im only using it for blu ray movies , which is a shame because i believe and the thruth is that HD DVD is the better format for million reasons.

Why are you on this thread if your just going to ramble on about your xbox?? Just because you mention "PS3" the odd time does not mean that you get to go on the PS3 forums. You bought a PS3 for the blu ray player?? That like saying you bought a Ferrari just to look at it. WTF?!?

This guys obviously a clown, i just hope a mod will get tired of his pointless posts and ban him sometime soon. If HD DVD is the better format then why buy a PS3 to watch blu-ray?
like the guy above me said, i doubt that you bought a PS3 just for the blu-ray player...why would you if HD DVD is a better format anyway??

Disagree, totally, i own both consoles and have to say the PS3,s online is 10 times better than the 360,s, since i bought my PS3... ave switched the 360 on... about twice... and am running iXtreme 5.3, sh*t console.

I had to buy a ps3 to play blu ray movies cos blu ray players cost twice as much or even more than a ps3. And its not my fault that warner , new line ect went blu ray exclusively . If warner stayed on HD DVD , i would have thrown it away .
