what format do the modded 360 games have to be when you download them and what programs do you use to put them on a disk and then play them on the 360?

They Are Usually in .ISO With A .DVD File Also just burn the .dvd with IMGburn. to a DL DVD+R

The above is correct for the format. But also know that when you get them they will be compressed files, like 50 something of them, and you will have to extract them to get the ISO and DVD files.
You can use DVD-R DL but i really prefer DVD+R DL myself. That is pretty much what everyone uses. And make sure they are GOOD QUALITY DVD'S!!!

If you buy cheap DVD's then most likely you will waste any money you saved on back ups that do not work or do not work for long. I suggest Verbatim 6X max speed DVD+R DL

nvm doesnt matter..neway do you extract all the files or just one of them a lot of the time i get games already extracted and they are just an sfv file would that be right

Double click rar file part00 or part01, WinRar should open up and you should see a iso file and dvd file. Extract both to desktop set layer break and use ImgBurn to burn.

As above, you only extract the first file. What Winrar will do is extract them all and rebuild the compressed files (ISO & DVD).
If it will not open up automatically by right clicking and choosing extract file, then you can open Winrar and "open archive" and manually browse for the first rar file.

I downloaded a game and in the folder it only add one file called 059 would this still work?

since you have not provided a screenshot of the file or even more important told us the file extension (.iso, .dvd, .rar, .exe or whatever) no one can really tell you.
