I've burned Assassin's Creed twice now, with the same result. The disc just seems to load endlessly in the console...just a black screen. When I look at the disc in my computer's dvd drive, it has both a video_ts and audio_ts folders, just like a dvd. Did I burn it wrong? I used Imgburn, using the .dvd file and set the layer break to the desired number. I am using a Pioneer 112D, which is rated highly and using Verb DL discs.

What am I doing wrong? Please help!

what should 360 games show viewed in a computer's dvd rom?

it's a d/l, my original was scratched to heck when my daughter moved the console while the disc was spinning :(

the file seemed fine, I checked it with mullter and everything was checked as it should be...

Try doing it without setting the layer break. You only manually set the layer break when you have to use the ISO file because you did not have the .DVD file (which contains the layer break info).

something else that is always good to do is make sure that your DVD burner has the most up to date firmware that is available.

And lastly if your burner can booktype (bitset) media then you should do that as well, set DVD Decrypter to burn the DVD+R DL discs as DVD-ROM by clicking on the little book icon over by the speed setting.

i actually did already try it both ways...wasted 2 blanks on it, same result. The disc starts spinning, the screen goes black, and the disc just keeps spinning endlessly.

I use Imgburn, should I use another program to burn?

You can try DVD Decrypter if you can find it. But if it burned without any errors then i would think that the program is not the problem. So try updating your burner firmware, or booktyping the media if you can.
