You need to use pandora to downgrade... then upgrade using the installation link sicdude placed here and NO dev is not needed to play ISO/CSO only the CUSTOM FIRMWARE!
Okay, I downloaded the Pandora UPMS. But, in order to install it, I need Pandora Battery. SO, I downlaod the battery, but as a requirement to install it it it says "A PSP with a Custom Firmware such as OE, M33 or WC, or a PSP with
the 1.5 original kernel." In the first place I'm trying to install the 3.90 M33, and I don't have a M33 to install the battery?..So I'm lost..

Dude you need to HARD MOD the battery or buy an already hard modded or modded battery use this to do the HARD MOD
I have already 3.90m33 installed and is very stable.
PSP (+[__]%): 2.80 < 1.50 > 3.40OE-A > 3.71M33-4 > 3.80m33-5 > 3.90m33-3 > 4.01m33-2 + 8gb MSPD
PS3 HD 60GB: 1.33 > 1.90 > 2.01 > 2.17 - NO OS

Anybody try the link on his page, It's messed, doesn't save, just opens the source code.

I updated to 3.90M33. I formatted my memory stick and then when I go to the PSP folder, it still has GAME380....shouldn't it have GAME390?..

Updated smoothy with network update it even dled 390.PBP for me =]
you need the kernel update to play homebrew which i just got.. but i dont realy understand what this update was for.....

Have you got a Slim of Fat PSP? Skype is only for Slims, i know that much for sure, though i'm still on 3.71 M33 ^.^

ok is this just me or what, after installin i formated the memory stick. Go into PSP/and your see a folder GAME180, shouldn't it be GAME190? does anyone knw if they will make an update for that. Thanks.

If you do intend to use the folder (i've never had use for it), just rename it yourself.

no its not a big deal, i rarly use it to i just wanted to make sure the mod went though, even though it says im 3.90m33 in system settings and i have a 3.90 kernal in safemode. thanks anyways and for the fast reply

I have a Fat PSP with Custom Firmware Of 3.90 M33. I Format My Memory Sitck after updating it and Browse my Memory Stick's Drive. I still have a GAME380. I Know it should be GAME390. Can I Rename it? if I Rename it, could it dameage/corrupt my memory stick?

concerning my previous post .. how do I run custom themes on 3.90? Right now I'm using Large Original Icons Negative Charge theme on 3.80-5. When I upgrade to 3.90 and try to flash it, it tells me what I'm out of space. Also there seems to be a new 'podule' folder. I deleted that folder and ran 3.80-5 no problem. but since it came from 3.90 .. deleting it on 3.90 might cause a problem. what hell is this folder for anyways?

i have a phat psp that i have evolved to 3.40 Open Edition and i have friends psp slim i evolved to 3.71 M33 from 3.10, but now im trying to cfw 3.90m to my brothers slim psp but his is at 3.90ofw can it still be done the same way?
