no you will need a pandora battery and a universal unbricker (Despertar del Cementerio) v3 or v4 memory stick to install cfw to his slim.

So I have the 3.90 M33 on my psp...
and I have the 1.50 kernal for the 3.90...
And my question is...
(keep in mind i am still a newbie at homebrew)
I have a "Sims 2 Pets" CSO file...
I add it to my ISO folder on my psp and it shows it with the logo icon and background n everything when i'm on my normal PSP screen... but when i go to play it I get that same old (8002 etc.) error... now do i need to install DevHook to play a cso game? or should it just work on a 3.90 M33 as is... because i downloaded DevHook but the installation instructions were incredibly confusing...
help please...

DevHook is a few years old now, it's dead, let it rest in peace :P
No, you'd never ever need to use DevHook. A "8002" error could be anything, nearly every single common error on the PSP starts with 8002. Check your recovery, if possible have "UMD-Required" and place a UMD in the drive, otherwise set it to "Sony NP9660". Without knowing the full error code, i can't really suggest anything else...

i just updated to 3.90 m33
i wanted to know from where can i download go messenger
according to a few sites go messenger is only for European psp consoles and there is no specific site to download go messenger from
is there any way i can get it ?
what if i change my region usin the m33 recovery menu will i be able to get go messenger through the network update then

You were trying to make the Despertar Cementerio on a CFW PSP, right? If not, that's why it's not working.
Otherwise, just try and make it with a different memory stick (256MB-2GB). If you're following the intructions, and you don't come across errors anywhere, then you must be doing it right...

Is Go!Messenger, Skype? I've never used either so have no idea and the updates have been talking about Skype but nothing about Go!Messenger How come on my slim Go!Messenger doesn't appear on the XMB but it does on my Fat? My Slim is a Japanese one....does that have anything to do with it?

Hello,
i have some CFW 3.90 M33-2.
it works great for almost all games but i have encountered a few that hangs at the loading screen.
- FinderLove FuminaHara JP
- Patapon EU & US (JP works fine)
Can anyone give me any suggestions on how to run these games if CFW doesnt work?
Or is it some setting in CFW that i am doing wrong?
Any help is appreciated.

Press select from xmb change clock speeds to 333

I am using a 1st generation PSP1000

change umd mode to sonyNP9660. that'll fix it. you can lose devhook too.

Hello,
wow thank you! Patapon works fine now.
But i am still having problems with FinderLove HaraFumina.
I tried all other UMD ISO settings but it still hangs(Black screen) after a few start up messages
Should CFW work for all games?
Has anyone else encountered games that dont work on CFW
what options are out there if CFW doenst work?

If it's a CSO, the person who compressed it didn't test it. I always test my uploads. Try downloading a different copy.

Hello,
Thanks again for your reply.
The file is ISO, but i am downloading again from another source to try.
I have read on the web that this game does have some problems starting in CFW, but works fine on Devhook.
But i am not familiar with running devhook with CFW, so i hope to try everything else before that.
I have gone through some of the threads for installing devhook.
Any advice or warnings for installing Devhook with 3.90 M33-2 is welcome.

For that game you could try changing the fake region to JPN. Might help as it's a jap game. Shouldn't though but it's worth a try.
