Hi,I'm a new user and would appreciate your help.

As the ps3 now plays divx i was hoping i could connect my 500gb external hd which is full of divx movies to the ps3. Any time i connect it with a usb it does not get picked up by the ps3. This is frustrating as i can connect my usb memory key and this gets recognised. Can anyone please tell me how i can get the ps3 to pick up my external hd so i can play my movies from this. Also i have a 100gb flash drive and have the same problem. Any help is much appreciated.

The PS3 XMB wont pick up the Harddrive if its not formatted to FAT32,however if you install Ubuntu or something simillar,it sould pick up the Harddrive then.
