Just got Xbox 360 Elite and it will not turn on the first time I try. Green lights come on like normal, but nothing on the TV. If I shut it off and back on it works great. Anyone else ever hear of this problem?

are you sure that all the settings on the TV are correct for the type of input you used (HDMI, Component, or VGA) and the resolution you have the 360 set to output as?

More information about your set up would help.

I have an older HD ready tv with no hdmi ports, so I am currently using components. Xbox is set to 1080i. Don't know why this would matter since it works fine after I turn it off and back on.

I have my Elite hooked up via HDMI and while the 360 turns on, it won't boot the xbox360 logo until I turn the TV to the HDMI input.

Might be the same with compronent. Test this by turning the TV on the proper channel first then turning on the 360.

Changed xbox and tv to 720p and still the same thing. I've also tried changing to the channel prior to starting the game and still get the problem.
