Yo will first need to know what kind of brick is it. Semi brick or full brick. If you can go to recovery mode, then it's a semi brick, if it it wont, then, it will be a full brick, and you'll need to have a spare psp with cfw to unbrick the PSP.

thats not true, if it is a full brick then he could always hard mod his battery if he has no access to another homebrew enabled psp (1.50 or custom firmware)

I know this, but why to hardmod his battery if he can simple install what he needs and run in recovery mode, without hardmodding his battery or needing a spare psp cfw.

well seeing as he bricked during the installation of a cfw i would say that it is a full brick and the only thing that can save his psp is the pandora battery

Maybe, I haven't yet occured with this problem, you know well, but I think he may try to see if it's a semi or full brick.

you could always update and halfway through pull out your battery and see what kind of brick you get lol, just kidding

but i am 98% certain that he has got a full brick (the other 2% is because sometimes weird things happen lol)
