As long as you can provide info about who the previous owner was.

This is not true (in some cases?).

Some people may have issues with it, but I have not.

I called MS about a broken 360 I bought and it was already registered. They transfered the registration to me. I told them I bought it used and they had no problem with it.

Just last night my buddy called MS because he bought a used 360. It was registered already. They transfered the registration to him. He did it just in case there were issues of his 360 winking at him with the 3 evil red eyes.

In both of our cases, nothing was needed by us. They already have that info.

Of course, it may be different for some.

I'm guessing because they either don't want to wait for a month to get a refurbished system back so they buy a new one, or...these places selling them buy in bulk, returns from retailers.

It's easier to unload it for $100-150.

With all due respect, you are incorrect. If it had been registered before, they require you to verify the previous registered person's info and/or send in a copy of the receipt. I know two people who have had this happen. Maybe you got lucky and found a rep who didn't do their job correctly.

well ive reregistered 2 so far with no previous information with no problem at all. neither ahkmed or abul asked for anything. so i am not incorrect. if i was incorrect it would not have happened. yes, you are suppose to have the information, but just becuase you dont doesnt mean it doesnt have a chance of being reregistered. and to the last post, the 3 yr warranty only applies to the RROD.
