Hi!

My modem and my router are in my living rom but I own a laptop and I wanted to bring my PS2 back in my bedroom, but I cannot change where my router is so I did some research about connecting it using ICS. I've found many links "explaining" how to do it but nowhere did I find a text explaining how to do it exactly or clearly in details, they were mostly all missing parts or were vague.

So I ask you: How can I plug my PS2 to my laptop using ICS and make online gaming work? I do have many network cable but do I need a special cable to get the connection working between my laptop and my PS2?

Here's what I have:

-PS2 Slim scph79001;

-HP Pavilion dv9618ca;
-Windows Vista Home Premium
-Wireless Network: Broadcom 802.11a/b/g WLAN;
-Cabled Network: NVIDIA nForce Networking Controller;

So, is it possible? Do you guys need some more information on my hardware/software? Does ICS work when I have one wireless connection (The one connected to Internet) and a cabled one (where I plug my PS2)?

And if any threads around did explain it clearly please point me to the right direction because after reading many forums I have yet to achieve it...

ok first thing I found is that a crossover ethernet cable is a different cable, so I just ordered one we'll see if it works once I get it...

It might work, I am not sure being the one is wireless going to your modem.
Look at #3 in this thread, the setup is pretty straight forward to try.
If that doesn't work, take a look at #4 in that thread.

okay, worked automatically with the crossover cable, just had to bridge connections and it worked :)
