red lights flash and console shuts off

ok so im playing halo3 live and im in the middle of a game. all of a sudden my 360 flashes red lights and the console suddenly shuts off. this happenes when i play for like 30 minutes to an hour

if you want it fixed then you should check this website out they are awesome man they fixed my xbox in like 3 days and shipped it back and it has no problems in it since he put in a heatsink from a larger computer into the 360 thus maiing it stable and it works like a charm

well how many lights are flashing, 3 or 1? if its three you 'can' fix it, but for how long the fix will last varies. just search RROD fix, and you'll get about a million tutorials on how to fix the overheating problem.

I've personally done 3 X-clamp fixes and all 3 Xbox 360 systems are still running. It's been about 2 months now since the fixes.

yup its trhee lights... ill look at them tutorials and see what i can do... all ive looked at was the towel trick but i'm not convinced that it works and dont want to overheat my xbox to much

Type in "x clamp fix" without the quotes and you'll find your answer. There are YouTube videos and everything.
