Well my one son who lives with his mother has a psp,and awhile back I modded it for him,Well now she wont let him bring it to my house so I can keep it updated,So is there a way I can put it back to stock
if I can get a hold of it again,cause if I am right he wont be able to play some of the newer games cause they need to update.And it wont update cause it has modded firmware right?Or will it be fine just to leave it alone?Thanks

You can update even if you have a modded firmware ^_^ (Call it Custom firmware, not modded firmware)

btw which firmware do you have ??? o_O

His psp is at 3.40 OE.So if he plays a newer game it will still update,His mom doesn't no it's modded.Id either like to keep it that way or like I said put it back to stock.But if it will still update she will never have to know.

why don't you use a version spoofer for the fw if his mother really checks the fw version on the psp (surely not?!)

Never herd of Version spoofer,I will do a Google onit.And I doubt she checks it,I was just afraid that he wouldn't be able to play a newer Game And she would think it was Broke.

i would install 3.90m33 since it will be a very long time before any game requires >3.90fw

also, the update process on m33 cfw is so simple you could email him instructions if/when the time comes

Well he's 9 so I don't think he will be able to update,But if I can get it and put it at 3.90 it's pretty easy to update from there on out,with the network update app now.Maybe thats what I will do.Just got to figure out a way to get it from her,She seems to think that the psp she bought him cost more than the one I bought my other son.
If she wants to get down to it mine costed more I bought ever thing seperate,not a bundle pack.Owell Freaking Ex's

Do NOT update the PSP to an official firmware dude !! >_>
Every PSP owner wants a custom firmware >_<
*But you can update if you want to, but you'll lost many capabilities of your PSP like playing homebrew games, emulators, .iso games etc.*

Juz upgrade to 3.90m33 :)

Also, you have a PSP classic or the PSP slim ?? :)
