I Have a psp slim and lite
w/ 3.8 OFW
8gb ms
Max Power Tool Battery.

I bought the max power tool battery and then found out that it wasn't intended for the slim and lite ver. I didn't cancel my order as i read that a fat psp battery would work but stick out the psp. So i thought that was fine.

when i put the max power tool battery the screen goes black even w/ the magic ms done but i noticed that the led for the ms isn't flashing at all when i turn the console on with this battery and also as soon as the connection is made the console turns on. I don't have to switch the power switch.

So i was wondering is it the battery thats screwed....and can anyone recommend a battery i could purchase to solve my problem

it is a sony ms.
If it was fake it doesn't explain why the led isn't flashing on the loading with only that particular battery.
I'll double check that its genuine by looking at one of those test things that makes sure but i'm pretty certain its genuine

does it say magic gate supported?

u cant make a magic ms with a fake ms, even if it says sony it doesnt mean its real

edit: 8gb is too big to make a magic ms with try something in the range of 128mb-2gb

Yeah says magic gate on it.
Done all the checks it genuine.

8GB's is to much ???
It worked before hand in the psp - Why should that make something unbootable? and the led not flashing with that particular battery doesn't make any sense still none the less i'll swagger my m8s ms and make sure.

Buy a 256 MB MS, it's not too expensive, and there are 100 % chances to work.

anything above 2GB in size doesn't work when creating a magic memory stick. You need to use a memory stick smaller then 2GB and it is guaranteed to work.

and if that works I'll have to buy a smaller MS :(
Unless i can then move the files to the bigger ms?
Oh well guess i will be experimenting xD always good fun

my friend did his magic stick with 8GB and it works fine..i dont know why but the stick is not the matter,maybe just a random happening...
