you need a pandoras battery or a Datel tool battery. The reason you would need another psp is if you don't have access to a pandora you can use another custom firmware psp to make a pandoras battery.

Afraid not at this moment. Sony's gone as far as making a new motherboard that doesn't allowing you make one. Unless you hardmod the battery

U still need to make the MMS The service tool puts your battery into service mode so you then can use the MMS to install CFW. If your friend has CFW he can use the pandoras installer to create a pandoras battery and revert the battery back to normal.

It's a risk. You might be better just buying a pandora battery and magic memory card setup off ebay if you're using it. It costs more but it'll do the trick and you won't need another PSP.

There is a way to open the battery, and clip off the 5th peg on a little chip near the end of the slim battery. Then you can get the magic mmory stick files from somewhere. After that, copy the files to your memory stick after formatting it (get to the USB mode by using the AC adapter) now intall the firmware (the program should turn on when you put the battery in the PSP), shut the psp down, open your battery and draw a line from the chip to the end where it connect to the circuit with a lead pencil. now enjoy your CFW. I know, that was very bland

It works but if your that scared don't do it cause if you cross the pins you'll arc it and fry your battery.
