Hmmm, I chose the "recover my gamertag" option in the Xbox Guide, now whenever i try to recover the damn thing, all i get is the same "Xbox LIVE signup is currently unavailable, Please try again later" So ive tried MANY times. Now still nothing. Sometimes i get pretty good progress, then it fails. Ive heard that waiting is key. But i have been trying for about an hour now, and really im clueless. I need to get back on xbl! any solutions? =\
haha no. But i dont know, i think it may have just been the servers or something, because im finally connected to xbl now >< woo. but yeah, thanks for the advice guys :). I guess all i had to do was wait..

Einstein, I was downloading a torrent and it took forever for me to be able to sign onto XBL because my internet connection was slow. As an aside Wabashman, do you always feel the need to put your two cents in everyone's threads? You need a hobby.

no i dont have to put my two cents in everyone's thread...do you feel the need to suggest that dling porn will cause you not to be able to access live? and you must have some slow internet if downloading a torrent was messing up your live.

LOL, that is actually a common response in my gaming clan as a joke for why people get a red or yellow ping during games. The first response is to jokingly tell them to stop downloading the porn.
But being serious XBL has been horrible lately. Some days it will work great while others it will not work well at all. I had several occasions on the weekend where it would sign in and the screen would still show the circular sign in logo on it. I had two choices, start the game and then i could hit the center button to bring up my friends. Or wait a 1/2 hour or so to see if XBL would sort itself out. And before anyone asks no it is not my connection as it is a 5MB cable connection.
