Has anyone with a BenQ driver later than Sept. 2007 successfully flashed??? I'm have a hard time believing that my benQ can be flashed so easily. I've tried everything! iprep, Dosflash16 and 32! NO LUCK!!! I've followed tutorials so accurate that I know the iPrep, DOsflash16, and 32 commands by heart! I'm starting to believe that my benQ can't be flashed because it's a later model. A few people have told me that I'm doing something completely wrong but I've read people on several forums, besides this one, who are having the same problems!

Has anyone had any success with a BenQ drive later than September 2007?

Dude I got my 360 around christmas and have it modded and modded my friends around the same time. I think I can help.I used dosflash 16 but here is the trick. If your using a pci sata card for some reason I have yet to explain, when you go to msinfo for the exact location it reads one thing and for example(A010) but when you enter this in dosflash it does nothing. If that is your problem here is the solution. Instead of all the dosflash commands, after you boot into the usb and you 360 is on type dosflash. From here it will tell you exactly where your drive is connected and actually ask you what you want to do from there. It usually recognizes your dvd drive as 4. After you press 4 it will ask you wether you want to read, erase or flash. From here you read first, make your firmware, erase then flash.

Hope this helps

Thanks manny2564

When I type in Dosflash it reads:

0) 0x01F0 IDE Pri Master NONE
1) 0x01F0 IDE Pri Slave NONE

Does this mean my computer is not reading my SATA card (which is a VIA VT6421 Raid controller)

I had to use the internal sata port on the card, the one on the edge furthest away from the back panel.. Worked fine for me then..,
My xbox is a falcon, manufactured on 27 November 2007..

I just picked up a new box two days ago. Made december 6 2007. Benq and hdmi. Flashed perfect first time.

In fact I think we would be fooling our selves if we have a community this large, and did not realize that there are some enemies present.

I got mines to flash! I just needed a different SATA card then the one I had. The VIA6421 SATA I had wouldn't recognize in DOSFLASH16 or Iprep. I asked a few board members and one of them suggested the SATA card he has. I think my old card didn't recognize because it was a eSATA VIA6421.
