I'm trying to put CFW on a friends PSP and it's a slim 2001. I've tried all the guides to no avail. Anyone who can help me out would be great. I have a Pandora Battery (hardmodded) and a magic stick, both functional (I just tested it on my PSP).

I had that same issue yesterday when trying to enhance a slim-
Did the green power light come on for about two seconds and then shut off after you inserted the battery?
I did not follow through with anything because the guy I was doing it for got his psp from somebody on eBay-he said he was planning to return it anyway because it was not in mint condition as advertised in the listing.
But I had posted a similar question yesterday-and another member suggested running Chilly Willy's keycleaner on the psp before trying again with the battery/memory stick...Like I said I never followed through, but you could maybe give that a shot.

hi there, i believe that this new mobo prevents a creation of a pandora batt but (rofllol) already had a pandora batt. so, maybe it is something else. :))

I tried running the Despar thing but it didn't work. It didn't work on OFW or my CFW(3.90 M33). I tried using the 1.50 shell but still nothing.

that package is the 'universal unbricker' ie. desperter cementario...the original Pandora does not work on slims, there was no display driver coded until the 'universal' version
either use DCv3 or DCv4 and you will be fine
the new mobo just prevents the creation of the battery, it does NOT stop the use of it

What happened when you inserted the battery and memory stick? Did the power light come on for a couple seconds the just shut off?
Did you ever try running keycleaner on that psp to get it to work?

I think the problem now is that you made a mistake or something in making the battery and/or MMS....

with universal unbricker v3 in a slim you wont see anything on the screen. Put in the magic stick then insert the jigkick battery, after the green light blinks acouple times press X. The mem stick light should start flashing or stay on solid. Wait a few minutes and the psp should power down or when its done it will tell you to power down. I have run into a problem on one that never used a mem stick and the contacts were dirty. I had to remove and replace the stick several times before it made good contact and went to work.

On my version of v3 its a blind install. I just wanted to through it out there. It threw me off the first time, but I could see the mem light flickering so I let it go. I just cant remember if it powered down or asked me to pressX to power down. I moved on to v4 cause I thought that was the fix. Thanks sicdude

He said the battery and memory stick are both functional though-
@rofllol-did you get it to work at all? Or did you try using chilly willy's keycleaner before attempting to install the custom firmware?
