I'm looking to purchase a DL burner for 360 games.
Has anybody used the Pioneer 115D?
If so would you recommend it? if not which would you recommend?
Heres the link to the burner at newegg
I purchased the external Pioneer 115D but although it states that it auto-selects DVD-ROM as the book type for backups on DVD +R DL, all of mine backed up discs show DVD+R DL and not DVD-ROM as the book type and therefore do not work in the 360.
I have tried wxripper, imgburn, dvd decryptor, clone cd, etc.
I can create the image perfectly but just cannot get the disc to show as DVD-ROM.
I have looked around and at present there is no firmware to allow for bitsetting to be changed on the 115D. I downloaded MediaCodeSpeedEdit and patched the firmware file to allow bitsetting but again, it will not change.
Not sure what I am doing wrong but I had the choice to get a Pioneer 111D instead but opted for the 115D as I was told it would be fine.
I have a spent a small fortune so far, Blaster 360NE, Pioneer 115D, Samsung SH-D162D Kreon, Verbatim DVD+R DL and everything is fine apart from the DVD-ROM issue which has to be down to the 115D.
