I've tried everything to flash my BenQ. Maybe it's my SATA Card. I have a SYBA SY-VIA6421-3S1P PCI SATA / IDE Controller Card RAID 0/1 JBOD - Retail I got it from Newegg.com... Here's the link http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816124011&Tpk=via6421

Someone on Newegg said that it doesn't work with BenQ drivers.

In windows it says it's "OK" and working, but in DOSFLASH it can not be recognized. It says SATA Pri Master: NONE...

BTW, this is what it says in Components/Storage/SCSI:

VIA VT6421 RAID Controller
VIA Technologies, Inc.
Status: OK
PNP Device: ID PCI\VEN_1106&DEV_3249&SUBSYS_32491106&REV_50\4&3B90381F&0&48F0
I/O Port: 0x0000B800-0x0000B80F
I/O Port: 0x0000B400-0x0000B40F
I/O Port: 0x0000B000-0x0000B00F

I/O Port: 0x0000A400-0x0000A41F
I/O Port: 0x0000A000-0x0000A0FF
IRQ Channel IRQ 21
Driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\viamraid.sys (5.1.2600.542, 101.63 KB (104,064 bytes), 1/30/2008 3:52 PM)

Do you think I need to try another SATA card? And what cards is everyone using that have successfully flashed?

I've tried flashing my Driver with DOSFLASH 1.3 and 1.4 followed all of the instructions... I used a floppy disc because I don't have a USB stick anymore. The floppy disc works fine.

Here's a run of what I've done in detail....

I?ve tried everything in TEXTBOOK.2008.pdf there was to make iPrep bootable files from USB, CD (NTFS4DOS), to Floppy Disk. The only one that works for me is the NTFS4DOS and floppy. But it still won?t flash!! When I plug the SATA into the Xbox 360 and turn it on at the necessary time, it just freezes at ?STATUS 0x7F? No matter what I do, it won?t budge. I?ve tired several different ways.

I?ve used Dosflash16, and Dosflash32. No luck at all. I?ve followed all of the instructions as possible. I know I?m doing it right because when I get to the MTK vendor intro section, it freezes at ?STATUS 0x7F? but it stays there no matter what I do.

(BTW when I used Dosflash16 to make the orig.bin it doesn?t let me? For those of you who can?t get iprep to work, you might have luck flashing your benq with Dosfalsh16 Here?s the link: http://www.i-hack.org/game-consoles/xbox360/flash-your-benq-dvdrom-drive.html)

When I try Dosflash32 it lets me know that my PC DVD driver is trying to be flashed!!! When I choose the proper I/O port numbers it still doesn't read it.

My BenQ is just not recognized...
