hey everybody i'm buying a blaster360 and i was wondering if i anyone knew if i could use firmware toolbox with it. i have a hitatchi v59. i was wondering if firmware toolbox used the latest version of the i extreme firmware also. final question, does anyone know how to use firmware toolbox if it can be used?

For me it successfully dumped the key off a hitatchi 78. IT looks like software to dump and flash a hitatchi dvd drive. I replace hitachi's with sammy's so i cant say about the flashin part.

As with the blaster, complete waste o money.

FW Toolbox is not for flashing Hitachi V59's...

You can flash any of the hitachi gdr models in firmware toolbox, even the v59. Get the newest version of firmware toolbox which is v4.6. It comes with the newest firmware available for the hitachi drives.

I'll second that. You're wasting your money purchasing a Blaster. With the money you save you could buy a case opening tool and 2 20 packs of Verbatims.
