Hi all, it's been awhile since I was on this web site mostly because I've been buying new DVD's and not bothing to make a useable copy and put the original away. Now that I've screwed up 2 brand new DVD's I'm back to learning everything from scratch.
I was just following a guide for files that have already been ripped because they appear as .BUP, .IFO and .VOB files, but Nero 6.6.1.15e doesn't know what to do with them, I get an error message that says "DVD Files Re-allocation failed. The resulting DVD-Video might be unplayable. Do you want to continue?" Having tried to get this same movie which is Fantastic 4 burned to a DVD and creating Ritek coasters instead, I'm clicking on No.
I've also tried opening the files in Decrypter and Shrink but to no avail. Both of them told me the files are not DVD files, but they downloaded into a VIDEO_TS folder on my hard-drive and that's where I tried to put them according to the AD Guide I was reading.
I'm looking for somebody to offer suggestions as to how I should proceed next. I'll really appreciate any help given.
Invest in and use DVD+-RW disks as you burn and learn.
Use high quality media after you understand the process.
Try to have fun learning to Rip & Burn and not get to frustrated.
Remember that the Addicts and Moderators werent born with those titles, they earned em! Theyre good people to hang out with and learn from.
The error you're getting is due to not doing something corerectly at the ripping stage, hence burning program complaining; search the forums, this is a common problem thus details are many, i've answered a fair few of these myself...
