Hi am trying to get CFW on my psp. I used two of the main program gui's to set up the memory stick but when I put it in and then insert the datel tool battery the green light shows up and the screen stays black. The memory card in magicgate confirmed, and I'm on psp fw 3.80 with a fat psp. Is there a simple step by step guide I can use or has anyone else got a datel tool battery that has effectively done the job and can show me how to do it?
I used totalnewbie install and pandoras_box.exe GUI's to format my memory card.
just to confirm though there is no activity on my psp when I put the datel tool battery in to my psp and only the green light comes on, there's no lights in the memory card flashing or anything so really unsure of problem
Vista offen has issues when logicaly formatting the Memory Stick, this is all. You can logically format your Memory stick if you have a cfw with Hellcat's Pandora Installer, then create the magic memory stick on your vista.
sorry no cfw psp available that's why I had to use the datel tool battery I'm afraid. I thought it may have something to do with that. My kingdom for a magic memory card that works properly!! I do have a MAC as well running OSX but I doubt I'll be able to make one using it unless someone has a good run through of files needed in what folders etc

gogul1, watch the double posts. if you need to edit what you are saying, then hit the little pad of paper and pencil on the upper right hand corner. second, hellcat uses a cfw psp and creates it using the psp, bypassing the need for a computer. I have heard with with the installer here it may work eventually. there is a problem with the logical formatting, but every once in a while it might get it right. so if you try over and over, you might get lucky. otherwise you are going to have to find a computer with xp. sorry.
