What is the recommended Firmware speed should i choose

That's up to you.

12X is the stock speed and the loudest.

Anything lower than that will be quieter, but also slightly longer load times.

My hitachi runs great at 5x (quiet and load times are tolerable), but my Benq is really slow at loading at that speed, so it's at 8x. It's quiet as well and the load times are also tolerable.

The speed is just up to you.

ok cool so if i slow the speed down will MS detect this. Because i think the 12 speed is the default

I can not answer your question, as I don't know if they can or can't.

If you want to play it safe, use 12x.

Although, I feel they can't detect it.....but that's just me.
