Hi folks just had my wii chipped worked for 5 days then all it does is eject discs , took it back and all the shop says is its wear and tear , its 5 months old !!!! Any ideas what to do with it to fix or if it is repairable ? I think the shop is just trying to fob me off but any help/ideas would be most gratefully recieved. Thanks in advance.

is the shp that modded it or the shop u bought it from?

tell em to take chip out to prove drive is ok or not then if it is still faulty return under warranty

5 months is nowt

did u see them chip it? maybe they swapped ur new drive with a dodgy one

Hi everyone. I've got a Wii problem aswell, so I hope you don't mind if I post it overhere.
I've got a Wiikey installed today but my Wii can't read any Config/update disk for the Wiikey.
It only gives an Error if I put in Config disk 1.2 & 1.3.
It can't read any update disk.
I used DVD+RW & DVD-R.
Any suggestions?

Mel89 - try the hacked config disk available in this thread. Load it up and swap for the none-hacked when it invites you to.

That thread has much valuable info and I advise a good read along with the others in order to avoid problems with updates, bricking etc. Better to spend time reading than stressing when it dun work or goes wrong. If you are new to Wii modding you can't afford not to be informed m8 ;)

who installed the wiikey - did they prove it working to you?

maybe its come loose

maybe they put in a wiikey when it should have been a dc2key?

I doubt they try D2Ckey a D2B - I dunno if it's even possible but it may not be a Wiikey.

I know for sure it's a Wiikey.
I even got it in my hands.
I'll look for someone who can fix this 'cause I don't see what I'm doing wrong.

lol I actually misread what you put m8 - I thought you said D2C instead of wiikey as opposed to the other way round... yeah it's a fair point I suppose if there are the same points showing for solder :O
