Does anyone no if you do the software update on your firmware hacked 360 for the devil may cry 4 game, will it stop playing all other games. I have had this update come up for SCENE IT and i did the update and its still works will all other backed up games. Just don't want to take the chance with the devil may cry 4 game and lose the playability of all my other games. Even turok is working write now. I use externall drive usb devise to read the games and then just burn with my laptop. I have every game there is with no problem to play backed up. But scared to update with the devil may cry 4 update. Anyone try this yet?

thanks for the info, here is a little more info on what im using
I have a sh-di62c t304 kreon v0.81 reading drive
i extract with schtrom 360 extract v3.2
and i use imburn 2.2.0.0
Also when i updated the xbox with the non backup of SCENE IT GAME WITH FOUR CONTROLERS it maid a click but everything was ok.
Again if anyone else has any more info that would be great.

you have about 3 or 4 post on same topic dude.
use xbc 2.? and the kreon drive, burn the xbox game on dl media and get the uodatede file so the 360 will play the old xbox game, also be sure the game is on the list to work.
it does not make any difference about the update you took from the
SCENE IT GAME WITH FOUR CONTROLERS.
I have lost all and any respect i had for this site!

To date, taking an update via the game will not affect the firmware.
Keep the console updated through live (Silver is all it takes for the updates) and you'll never be asked to update from the game.
I've never been asked to update to play a game. I keep the consoles updated through live. I've never played on live though, just hook it up when there are new updates.

i play on live all the time, but it dont keep or get game updates.
in order to get game updates you must put the game in the 360 while on live, if not you wont recieve the update, also if online (gold or silver) if you dont take the update you wont play online.
game updates dont have anything to do with system updates.
I have lost all and any respect i had for this site!

What is xbc 2 , ill look for it online.
Also where can i get the updated file for the xbox game.
Online i take it or is there a cd i can burn and install it with
You see my problem is that my modem is two floors away.

Sorry if this post seems redundant, but I don't see any clear answers. I have a modded 360 and I would like to know whether the update required to play Devil May Cry 4 will affect my console's functionality in playing copied games. Thanks for your input.

One other question i have is how can i update the 360 to play

i just downloaded and burned a dvd of backward compatability update for the xbox 360 to play xbox games and it did the update but once i put in a game i have a blue screen, and this is for 360 and xbox backups. It turn black once i start the console and the rings circle around when it finds controler it goes back to blue again.
can someone help.

for those who are reading this my xbox has a bad solder joint somewere, i tried the towel trick and it came back working and able to play xbox originals. But only for a litte while. The screen whent neon blueish. (the colors were like outlined on the caracters and green was also a neonish color around the objects. Then finally it booted up to a blue screen again. So next step is to take apart one more time and put a soldering iron onto every contact.
