i used to have a system comprising.
a7n8x windows xp and i could flash any 360 using my 6421a card.
but since upgrading to 64 bit 6000 athlon system it doesn't want to know even trying to use xbins to get new firmware and flashing is a no no.
am i the only one.

No, I had same problem and had issue with using iprep, even in DOS. I ended up having to run FIRMTOOL as a seperate program from iprep just to hack the orig.bin. I will tell you how I fixed this...

1) Take VISTA DVD either x86 or x64 and place in microwave oven on carousel (EXACTLY in the middle of plate)

2) Set Mic Oven on high

3) Start Mic Oven for exactly 5 SECONDS. (Watch the light show as Mic Oven hacks VISTA DVD.

4) Take VISTA DVD out and place neatly in nearest trash receptacle.

5) Reload Windows XP on PC with compatability issues.

Haven't had a problem since...
