I bought a pre-modded Wii with an Argon Chip. It has the strand thing that sticks out of the back in order to update it, but I dont have the thing you need to plug into it to update it.. if that makes any sense to anyone.
Before I go out of my head and buy the wrong thing, I saw 3 different ways to update it and I didnt know why but they were all the same name of product.
So my question is, which is it that I can update my wii with connecting something to the little strand on my wii and connect that to my PC and update it. Also, will that update JUST my chip... or will that allow me a general update from wii as well? Sorry If I seem like a newb, it is because I am and I have read all the faqs, but it all is confusing to me...
Update your wii, update your firmware, update your chip (isnt it all the same or is there literally 3 different updates and how do you do each as it doesnt really say).
Another quick question... When you load a iso in brick blocker.. what do the different country codes mean? I got a NTSC U Game but it says the country code is E - NTSC USA Im just nervice that E = EU = Pal or something? Or is the Pal code a different code like E = USA - P = Pal J = JAP? I cant find that in any question/tutorial.
OH ALSO, does brick blocker 100% of the time work or will a random update still go through? Does it always ask you to update or will it just update on its own?
OK after looking everywhere all night I am only left with just 2 questions.
If You are running a 3.1 U firmware on your wii, It will not ask you to update ANY game unless it is a higher firmware right? Like a 3.0 Jap game wont ask you to upgrade, but a 3.2 Pal/Jap/USA would?
Also the brick blocker, is it 100% effective in preventing games from asking to update?
You need the Injectus to update the ARGON Modchip. HERE is an example of what you need.
This only allows you to update the ARGON itself not the Wii. You will need to update the Wii via WiFi or Game Disc (using same region as your Wii).
As for semi-brick issues.
Keeping your Wii updated to the latest firmware will avoid 90% of the semi-brick issues but it is not 100% safe. To be 100% safe you should only use region game disc that correspond with your Wii system region.
Wii brick blocker is 100% safe as long as it can be used on the game disc. Not all game disc still work after using Wii brick blocker on them.

So if I use brick blocker, and the game loads, then it worked right (the brick blocker that is), but if it does not load then it cant be brick blocked?
